Un 58 por ciento de los hispanos dueños de pequeños negocios dicen que sus niveles de estrés están en aumento y que las causas principales de su afectación se debe, principalmente al manejo de las finanzas (33 %), el trabajo de mercadeo/ventas (19 %) y trabajar largas horas (18 %), entre otras.

NASA Hosts Global Viewing Events for Rare Astronomical Reunion
WASHINGTON -- NASA Television will air a live program starting at 5:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday, June 5, showcasing the celestial phenomenon of the planet Venus trekking across the face of the sun. The rare event, known as the Venus Transit, will not occur again until 2117.
The transit occurs when Venus passes directly between Earth and the sun. Viewers will see Venus as a small dot gliding slowly across our nearest star. Historically, viewed by luminaries like Galileo Galilei, Captain James Cook and even Benjamin Franklin, this rare alignment is how we measured the size of our solar system.

DEAD AHEAD: Less Rainfall for Drought-Sensitive Southern Hemisphere Regions?

Warming climate may mean less rainfall for drought-sensitive regions of the Southern Hemisphere, according to results just published by an international research team.
Geoscientist Curt Stager of Paul Smith's College in Paul Smiths, N.Y., and colleagues found that rainfall in South Africa during the last 1,400 years was affected by temperature--with more rain falling during cool periods and less during warm ones.
The findings, published in the journal Climate of the Past, are supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

BATTLE OF THE SEXES Offers Evolutionary Insights
In a paper published Thursday, May 3, in the journal Evolution, University of Cincinnati graduate student Karl Grieshop and Michal Polak, associate professor of biological sciences at UC, examine the role of genital spines in the reproductive success of a species of fruit fly. Their investigation identifies the specific type of advantage these spines bestow in the competition to reproduce.

AFGHAN FORCES Contain Taliban Attack in Kabul

WASHINGTON, May 2, 2012 - Afghan security forces led a capable and quick response in containing a Taliban attack in Afghanistan's capital of Kabul today, military officials reported.
All of the attackers were killed, officials said. According to initial International Security Assistance Force reporting, a small group of insurgents attacked a private compound. The attack was unsuccessful in killing any ISAF personnel, but it resulted in Afghan civilian casualties, including children.

NASA T-38 Aircraft To Fly Over Washington Metro Area
April 5 WASHINGTON -- NASA, in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration, will conduct training and photographic flights on Thursday, April 5, over the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Two T-38 training jets will fly approximately 1,500 feet above Washington between 9:30 and 11 a.m. EDT. These flights are intended to capture photographic imagery.
If the flights must be cancelled for any reason, they will be rescheduled and an additional notice will be released.

MILWAUKEE – AutoZone, Inc., the nationwide auto parts retailer, violated federal law by firing an employee because of her disability and failing to provide reasonable accommodation for her lifting limitation, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.
